Maybe OnlyFans should be called OWNly Fans

I wrote a blog post a wee while ago about having an OnlyFans account - FUN, I thought…

Until you try to delete it.

You can’t delete your account while you have subscribers.

You can’t remove subscribers.

You can’t stop people from subscribing.

So, basically, as long as people are willing to continue paying for your content, you can’t delete your account…

So I tried deleting my content.

Oh wait. You can’t do that either.

It will let you delete a MAXIMUM of 3 - 4 photos/videos in a 24 hour period… Until you only have a few left and then it will only let you delete ONE at a time.

Surely I thought if I have no content then people will stop subscribing?!

I’m lucky that I didn’t have much on there to start with so it’s only taken me 10 days so far to ALMOST get my content deleted…

But, for people with HUGE accounts and lots of followers?

Good luck!

I’ve had really lovely subscribers and I made sure to update them in advance that I was going to be deleting my account. I put a notice on my public info and I regularly asked people to cancel their auto renew so that they didn’t get charged unnecessarily.

Most of my subscribers were great and did what I asked without question - but for people with less willing fans, I can imagine that it would be REALLY difficult to take back control of your account… and ‘your’ content.

This is just my experience and maybe there’s something I’ve missed but this is just a preemptive warning to anyone thinking that it might be easy money…

Once you’re in, you’re in.
It’s not so easy to get back out again.

Speaking of money, it’s also not as easy as you might think.

You hear it time and time again people joking about getting an OnlyFans account as though it’s going to automatically make you millions.

It’s not.
Not without a decent amount of work.

For people who are earning big amounts of money on there, it requires REGULAR content (some people expect to see new things multiple times per day) as well as interacting with your fans via DM (something I wasn’t willing to do) but they also usually have a free OnlyFans page as well to entice people in to their paid account AND a super active X (previously Twitter) profile because their content - if you didn’t already know… - is a lot less filtered.

OnlyFans also take 20% of your fees AND you get paid in dollars - so by the time you actually withdraw your cash, and the conversion rates are applied, you actually come out with a whole lot less than you might have been expecting. PLUS you can only withdraw a minimum of $20 so you have to get earning quick to even be able to access your money in the first place…

I can’t say I haven’t enjoyed having my account because it has still been a fun experience but I thought it was only responsible to share the WHOLE story and not just the fun parts.

Although… if you have good feet, there is definitely a big demand for THAT kind of content - even celebrities are apparently selling pictures of ‘their’ toes and making a killing from it…

If you have any other questions, you know where to find me but - as with everything - do your research and learn ALL the facts before you jump in with two feet.

(pun intended)
